holds a diploma in Agriculture and Biotechnology from Bukura Agricultural College and has participatory certificates for courses on permaculture, bio-fertilisers and bio-dynamic Agriculture. He has worked with Seed Saver’s Network as an Agricultural Extension Officer. Currently, he is a farmer trainer in biodiversity conservation at Slow Food Kenya at the same time he is the coordinator for Slow Food Youth Network in Kenya and a communication person for the same network in Africa. Elphas is also a Green Ambassador for Climate in Africa Programme at Climate Change Africa Opportunities (CCAO) in addition to being a country representative for the Association of Social Media Professional (ASMP). Elphas is a true environmental activist and coordinates several community clean-up and tree planting activities in Kenya. He recently campaigned to stop littering roads by walking 70Kms of the Nakuru-Nairobi highway to create awareness of the problem. He plans to use the smart projector to facilitate his field training activities at Slow Food especially in rural areas that have limited access to electricity and internet.
