After studying organisational communication, Helisoa changed career direction in 2020 and went into food processing, starting with dairy products, but it was in beekeeping that she discovered her true passion. Based on the outskirts of Antananarivo and cultivating a close relationship with farmers, in 2022 she set up IloRaitra Apiculteur, a company that practises modern beekeeping and sells beekeeping equipment and services.
Fiercely committed to the development of her community, Helisoa is vice-president of the NGO My Period Station, which works to raise society's awareness of menstrual health in order to help young girls cope better with their periods. Also a member of the Kiadin'i Madagasikara movement, Helisoa is an accomplished rural activist and entrepreneur.
Working as an ERA, she intends to carry out a project that is close to her heart: raising awareness among farmers of environmentally-friendly farming practices using the Access Agriculture videos. As a beekeeper, she sees in her daily life that the use of synthetic inputs in agriculture is decimating bees, which is a real disaster not only for honey production, but also for food systems and the environment.
