is from the Karimojong tribe and most importantly is passionate about modern agricultural innovations and production techniques adoption by the rural communities to reduce or minimise incidences of food insecurity and malnutrition. He joined Busitema University for a Diploma in crop production and management and then after graduation worked for the Dry Land Integrated Development Project Karamoja (DIDPK) Millennium promise as the Senior Agricultural Community worker in Lotome Sub County. Whilst there he was very involved with agricultural extension service delivery.
In 2019 he went back to Busitema University Faculty of Agriculture and Animal Science for a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture. Whilst in his first and second year, Stephen balanced studies with managing Arecheck Mixed farm in Napak District. In his third year at the university he has been running a turkey production project as well as with two other Karamojong students doing a business of oyster mushroom production (fresh and dry) at the university farm for income generation.
