Access Agriculture is honoured to announce that in the 2024 Annual Report of the FAO Family Farming Knowledge Platform (FFKP), which focuses on ‘Insights and trends on family farming knowledge,’ two of its videos make it to the Top 10 most viewed contents of the FAO FFKP in 2024: Living windbreaks to protect the soil and Culture de l'azolla pour l’alimentation des animaux (Growing azolla for feed).
Along with Access Agriculture, the top 10 list includes FAO, FAO TECA (Technologies and Practices for Small Agricultural Producers), IICA (Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture) and FiBL (Research Institute of Organic Agriculture).
In 2024, some 700,000 visitors consulted the FAO FFKP Platform and more than 1 million searches were carried out in its database by worldwide visitors. Hosted by FAO, FFKP provides a single access point for international, regional and national information related to family farming issues.
Keeping in view the importance of the United Nations Decade of Family Farming (2019-2028), which seeks to place family farming at the centre of national public policies and investments, FFKP serves as a resource to better inform and provide knowledge-based assistance to policymakers, family farmers’ organisations, development experts, as well as to stakeholders in the field, and at the grassroots level.
“FFKP is a participatory initiative that benefits from the active collaboration of its contributors, now including 265 research centres, non-governmental organisations, international organisations, government entities, farmers’ organisations, and universities, and more,” said Nathalie Santini, FFKP Coordinator. “As the FFKP celebrates its 10th year, we thank you for being a part of this initiative!”
Access Agriculture has been recognised as a valued contributor to FFKP since 2020.
