Access Agriculture signs partnership agreement with Bangladesh BSAFE Foundation
Access Agriculture and the Bangladesh Safe Agro Food Efforts (BSAFE) Foundation have entered into an agreement to leverage their complementary strengths to improve safe food production, sustainable agricultural development and food security in Bangladesh.
Under the terms of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), both the organisations will work cooperatively towards mainstreaming information dissemination and use of quality farmer training videos to support sustainable agricultural development and food security.
The BSAFE Foundation (www.bsafefoundation.org) is a civil society organisation that seeks to identify constraints and potential solutions of ensuring safe and nutritious agro-based food sustainability across the value chain “from farm to plate” in Bangladesh. Its activities include policy advocacy, raising awareness, facilitating good agricultural practices and strengthening value chain for safe food.
Access Agriculture (www.accessagriculture.org) is a global service provider and scaling agent that supports South–South learning for farmers and rural businesses through quality videos in international and local languages. It helps mainstream agroecology and accelerate the transition towards more resilient food systems.
As part of the MoU, research and development organisations, TV and radio stations, farmer organisations, financial institutions, mobile phone service providers and private sector actors in Bangladesh will be encouraged to use quality training videos in support of safe food production, sustainable agriculture, value chain development and food security.
