Access Agriculture founders Agro-Insight have won the IVCA Gold Award for their "Fighting Striga" video series. Agro-Insight produced the programmes for the International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT) to help farmers overcome this parasitic weed. The judges were influenced by the way the videos helped change farmers' behaviour. They were impressed by the distribution across Africa and the way this ambitious series clearly had an impact on it's intended audience. All of the videos are available in over 20 languages on the Access Agriculture website www.accessagriculture.org.
Access Agriculture partners have previously won this prestigious industry award. The efforts to produce quality training videos in local languages is now recognised by leaders in the video and communication sector.
