LEISA-India magazine features Access Agriculture

An article titled Training videos on agroecology – Putting the power of learning in farmers’ hands, which throws spotlight on how Access Agriculture (www.accessagriculture.org) helps scale agroecology across the Global South, has just been published in the June 2022 edition of LEISA India magazine (Issue 24.2).

LEISA, which stands for ‘Low external input and sustainable agriculture,’ is recognised as the leading magazine for sharing practical field experiences relating to ecological agriculture. LEISA India is published by the AME Foundation (www.amefound.org).

Under the theme ‘Agroecology Education,’ the June 2022 edition of LEISA India magazine focuses on the different ways in which agroecology is being promoted in India, the various players involved in agroecology education and the approaches that are being used to teach this complex subject.

The article on Access Agriculture, which is a global leader in supporting South-South learning for farmers through quality videos on agroecological principles and rural entrepreneurship in over 90 international and local languages, fits in well with this theme. It delineates how videos can be very effective for building farmers’ agroecological knowledge, stimulating learning across countries and cultures, and triggering farmers to experiment and change behaviour.
