Making a raised garden bed filled with woody residues involves digging the soil, loosening the subsoil, and then backfilling with a mixture of woody residues, crop residues and soil. You can add a cow dung solution, which contains many beneficial microbes that will break down the wood, turning it into nutrient-rich fertiliser. After a week, you can plant your seedlings or sow seeds. Mulch the soil between the seedlings with dry leaves or straw.
