is 23 years old from Chombwe Village in Lilongwe District. Sydney was motivated about agricultural training videos through the Extension officer in his community, it was also through the same office that he heard about the “Young Entrepreneurs Challenge Fund” which he saw as opening opportunities to assist in training illiterate farmers through videos in local Malawian Languages. Sydney believes that as the Smart Projector works off-grid it will really support his activities in remote areas. The videos will also help to offset the high ratio of farmers to extension workers. Furthermore, farmers in his area will be made aware of sustainable agricultural practices. Sydney believes this will enhance productivity and profit margins within households while reducing environmental degradation.
