Explore world’s largest multilingual library of farmer training videos on agroecology and organic farming
Brussels, Belgium — Access Agriculture is proud to announce the launch of its upgraded, new-look video platform (www.accessagriculture.org) with improved functionality and navigation that allows visitors a more engaging way to explore its incredible array of over 4,000 quality farmer-to-farmer training videos across 100 languages.
The new mobile-friendly site is faster, sleeker and responsive across all platforms and devices. Its interface is in English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Bangla and Hindi, and will soon be available in Arabic.
“The redesigned layout will make it easier for people to access the information they are looking for,” said Josephine Rodgers, Executive Director of Access Agriculture. “We are committed to providing quality content in local languages to help smallholder farmers and their families overcome challenges and improve incomes.”
Access Agriculture is a global service provider that enables free access to local language training videos on ecological farming practices and rural entrepreneurship through a range of digital technologies and innovative delivery models.
Its videos have been watched by more than 90 million people and used by over 5000 grassroots, educational, research and extension organisations and media houses across the Global South. More than half of the users who download videos from Access Agriculture’s platform are farmers.
The new site showcases Access Agriculture’s unique strengths, its open-access knowledge resources, including videos, audio tracks, factsheets, app, and other social initiatives, such as the EcoAgtube (www.ecoagtube.org) video-sharing platform and the Young Entrepreneur Challenge Fund, as well as its global and local impacts and opportunities for engagement.
In particular, it highlights three areas of services and expertise of Access Agriculture:
- Supporting last mile delivery of farmer-to-farmer training videos
- Translating the videos into any language upon demand, and
- Enabling global and local access to the videos through multiple digital tools
